Summary | 0008958: The upgrade of xorgxrdp from 0.9.19-1 to 0.10.2-1 not compatible with xrdp v0.9.24. | ||||
Description | The recent upgrade of xorgxrdp to v0.10.2-1 doesn't seem to be compatible with the current version of xrdp. The server listens and connects but produces several errors in the .xsession-errors log. From a user perspective, connecting from with mstsc, a valid login screen is presented. An invalid login presents with an invalid login. A valid login immediately disconnects the mstsc connection and produces errors in the .xession-errors log. | ||||
xrdp 0.10.1-3 entered Debian testing only a few days ago https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/xrdp so probably only matter of a few days until also available in kali-rolling: https://pkg.kali.org/pkg/xrdp |

I removed my holds in apt and pulled the new update. Saw the new xorgxrdp get installed. Rebooted. All works fine. Did some other testing and everything looks back to normal. Thank you! |

Did anyone reported this matter to Debian/upstream? Otherwise probably unlikely a fix will happen. |
