Description | It seems there is a bug in the package manager within the latest VMware and Hyper-V virtual machine images (kali-2025.1c) from the official Kali website. My host system is Windows 11. After respectively importing these into VMware Workstation Pro and Hyper-V virtual machines and starting Kali, running sudo apt purge package-name resulted in errors in both cases. | ||||
