Summary0009154: bug of kali-2025.1c
Description

It seems there is a bug in the package manager within the latest VMware and Hyper-V virtual machine images (kali-2025.1c) from the official Kali website. My host system is Windows 11. After respectively importing these into VMware Workstation Pro and Hyper-V virtual machines and starting Kali, running sudo apt purge package-name resulted in errors in both cases.

such as:Some packages can not be installed. If you are using an unstable distribution, this may be because the system is not in the state you want. There may be some packages in this release that you need that have not yet been created or that have been removed from the Incoming directory. The following information may be helpful in solving the problem:
An unsatisfied dependency:
kali-desktop-kde: Depends on: kali-desktop-core but it will not be installed
Error: Error, PKGProblmResolver: : Resolve failed, This may be because there are packages that are required to maintain the status.....

I don't know what you mean by sudo apt purge package-name, but from the output you pasted, it looks like you're trying to remove a package that can not be removed.

Also, please head to forums https://forums.kali.org/ or chat https://discord.kali.org/ for support. This doesn't look like a bug.
