auto USB Tethering is disable because there's the nethunter app for this and you can customize the gadget as well.
I'll check the mic issue.

i just figured out why i was having call audio issues on mobian plasma. there is a sound settings area where things can easily get configured wrong. when on a call, it has to be set to 'earpiece, mic' for it to work, and can't just have been set to 'speaker, mic' (which has bad feedback).

So no other issues with nhpro?

i listed more bugs but the webpage failed with:

so my post was lost. i usually know better than to trust a web form not to lose my long text but i feel kind of disabled on the pinephone pro because it's so much harder to copy cut paste and move the cursor. (actually i'm on mobian plasma right now and my only working text editor is nano.. which i installed.. yes, they shipped an os without a text editor except vim which is only for yoda and klingons. normal people should never use vim because it's insanely archaic).

speakerphone doesn't work. it doesn't turn on. if it did it's super noisy, so i think someone disabled it on purpose.
texting plain text works in and out, and images are sent immediately, but not received till after a reboot.
i've never been alerted of a voicemail.
holding 1 doesn't call voicemail (it should, really, but it doesn't have the tape icon so it's not a bug)

that's all i remember for now.

i'm daily driving the pinephone pro for personal integrity because the google and apple contracts are quite disagreeable. this phone shipped with sailfish but that contract was also bad so i never booted sailfish, not even once. i was running arch from sd card for while but that was rough. battery life was ludicrously awful. < 1 hr.

manjaro asked my name, and wouldn't let me use my phone if i didn't give it. that was bad.

One more thing to mention: if you're reporting issues or bugs, please avoid combining multiple issues in a single report. For example, you've mentioned the keyboard issue in other bug reports as well. It's difficult to track and respond to the same topic across multiple threads.
