Description

Hello Kali maintainers,

finally I've updated the needles in openqa.debian.net, and now it appears that the autologin is no longer working.

Using the daily image, with timestamp 2025-05-06T01:02
https://openqa.debian.net/tests/392005, https://openqa.debian.net/tests/392008 -> After installation, username + password is required
https://openqa.debian.net/tests/392006, https://openqa.debian.net/tests/392009 -> In the live image, the auto-login is not active

I was wrong. After installation one really needs username+password. I've updated the needles, and now the Kali tests are green again in openQA. Please close this issue.

Hello Roland, sorry that I didn't have time to look into this. AFAIK you need user+pass (default: kali kali) to login. Autologin is not the default for installed system.
