| Summary | 0009336: Mouse cursor disappears after full-upgrade on VMWare. | ||||
| Description | After running sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade and rebooting, the mouse cursor disappears. I'm using VMware with a Linux Mint host, but the same issue has also been reported by another user running VMware on a Windows 11 host (see: Kali Forum thread https://forums.kali.org/t/mouse-cursor-not-visible-any-more-after-kernel-update-on-vmware-guest/13668) You can easily reproduce this issue by downloading the latest Kali image, launching it as a VMware guest, performing a full upgrade, and then rebooting. After reboot, the mouse cursor will no longer be visible. | ||||

I did an update & upgrade probably on 18 Oct and I now have annoying Kali GUI without the mouse pointer whenever my Kali VM is active. |

Maybe duplicate of 0009346 Probably this from 0009355 valid here as well (just drop the "QEMU") what has been stated by some one from the Kali team:
