Summary0000964: kali build crashes due to dependency problem
Description

Dear developer team,

since the last repositoy upgrade of kali, the live-build process crashes in two cases:

  1. by adding libgl1-nvidia-glx there are wrong dependencies. Rhertzog did fix this problem by linking the nvidia-packages to the new kernel 3.12, but he forgot one.

  2. If you need oracles java, you have to create a debian package on another system and put it below */packages.chroot/. I built it on debian jessie. But during build, there are some libraries no more available.

I send the binary log, so it makes it clear.

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards

Hans

Update to the oracle-java stiuff:

I meant, the libs appaered at to be missing during kali build (in the repo of kali), NOT during the build of the java package!

Just to make things clear. :)

Best

I imported nvidia-support from wheezy-backports as well to fix your first problem.

For your second problem, you need to build your package on Wheezy (or better Kali itself) to have the correct versions of the libraries. Building it on Jessie will not work.
