Description

the Alfa Network card (AWUS036NHA) crash after a normal scan. If attemtping to scan all other WLAN interface goes down. To start again I have to unplug the alfa card or reboot the VM.

Steps To Reproduce

After plugining the usb and adding it to the VM. I confirm the card with.

<ifconfig> (no issue)
<iwconfig> (no issue)

Attempt to scan

<iw dev wlan0 scan> (issue)

system interface stop and card is not listed in ifconfig. The card is list in iwconfig. Unable to aircrack-ng suite or do any scan. All other wlan card not listed in ifconfig but will show up in iwconfig.

If I bring back up the card. <ifconfig wlan0 up> the card come up and down random time (ifconfig about 10 times and about 50% of time it say that there is a error with the wlan0.

Additional Information

Hardware system is Mac Book Pro.
VMWare Fusion

Used a .iso, vm for both x86 and 64 version.

I re-installed firmware and driver

No problem with the wifi card in BT5r3.
