hello, my name is nurhand1pa, and about 15 minutes ago, I got this problem too. I did upgrade my system and this bug appeared. there's just 2 options in menu list, "Run" and "Logout", so I clicked Run and open terminal, then I type some commands like below;

• apt-get remove --purge kali-menu && apt-get clean
• rm -rf .config/menus
• init 6
• apt-get install kali-menu
• apt-get install kali-linux-full

yes, I got my kali linux menu back. but, the problem is the kali linux tools is gone. they moved to "others" sub-menu. so, what should I do to restore the kali linux tools like normally?
