Dell XPS M1330 bcm4312 wifi
Kali light 2017-w07 64bit

  • when booting from USB wifi is detected and works

  • when selecting Install I get a message
    b43 wireless firmware missing

How to install b43 'non-free' firmware?

Steps To Reproduce

  1. USB boot from Kali light 2017-w06 64bit detects bcm4312 and wifi works

  2. try to Install
    the b43 firmware missing
    needs to be loaded from removable media

Due to the age of the OS (Kali Moto [v1], Kali Safi [v2], Kali Rolling 2016.x/2017.1), these legacy versions are no longer supported.
