Steps To Reproduce | Install kali linux 5.4,after apt-get update and apt-get upgrade,the screem will be black after reboot. | ||||
Try connecting to an external display through DP or HDMI --OR After your boot sequence is complete, try a tty2 session by hitting Ctrl + Alt + f2 Quick question: What's your current display manager? Gnome/XFCE/Mate/KDE? |

This happened me when installed Gnome. Ctrl+Alt + f2 worked for me. |
