Summary0007490: pulseaudio not working
Description

I have been having problems with the recent update of Kali, more specifically Pulseaudio.

Everytime i boot i get "dummy output" and no sound.

However if i issue the command:
"sudo apt-get --purge --reinstall install pulseaudio"

The i test it by typing:
"speaker-test"
And it works.

However this is not permanent and within a few minutes i lose sound again and when i reboot i still have to purge pulseaudio for a few minutes of audio then nothing.

I have the latest version:
Linux Kali 5.14.0-kali4-amd64 0000001 SMP Debian 5.14.16-1kali1 (2021-11-05) x86_64 GNU/Linux
and i am all upto date

Otherwise a full upgrade should work:

<pre>
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade
</pre>

Upon hitting enter, you should see something like that:

<pre>
...
The following packages will be REMOVED:
wireplumber
The following NEW packages will be installed:
pipewire-media-session
</pre>

Then reboot.

I had the same issue as this ticket and the closed duplicate. The fix resolved both of my issues.
