Summary0007660: Kali Linux violates security boot (SECURE BOOT)
Description

I'm using a Dell Inspiron 3585 and recently got an update for bios. After successful updating my bios I back to my work and I notice my Linux is not booting I try to disable secure boot and then it works

Big Thing in short
My secure boot not letting my kali install. I can't sign my kernel in secure boot
I even roll back my bios version the same thing happen

This happens after my bios update when I updated my bios I was in kernel version(5.15)
Now I'm in (5.16) but still, this is happening

Hi, thanks for the report. The Kali Linux kernel is not signed, therefore it's not recognized and accepted by Secure Boot. There's not much we can do here. Just disable Secure Boot if you want to boot Kali.

Will I receive an update regarding this issue because I'm a student? Learning things but this issue wasted my 1.5 months now I can't do anything because my VMware not installing some apps not working fine. Please I want to request you please tell me some solution because I can waste my more time on this

In the initial description you mentioned Kali Linux not booting because of Secure Boot, and you even said that you disabled secure boot and then it worked. Problem solved.

I don't understand anything about « VMware not installing some apps not working fine », but that's an entirely different thing. If you need support to use Kali, please head to https://forums.kali.org, as this is not a bug in Kali. Thanks.

Can you help me to sign the kali kernel in a secure boot

Can you help me with that or do I have to switch to another distro

I can't find any useful article it being 1.5 months I'm facing this issue
