Summary0008795: Kali Linux newest netboot image has Kernal Error
Description

Yesterday, I downloaded the newest Netboot (the one from the 2024-Jun-19 05:53) to run it on a PXE Server but when I tried to install it via the PXE Server on a PC I got the error: end Kernel panic - not syncing: No working init found. After some troubleshooting, I tried to use an older Netboot image and got no Kernel Error only an invalid Mirror Server so I guess something is wrong with the newest Netboot image. Is there any Quickfix for the Kernel Error or do I have to wait for a newer Netboot image?

I can confirm that I am also seeing this error. I am attaching a screenshot. This happens for both physical and virtual PXE installs using the current netboot.

I can confirm that I'm getting exactly the same error with W26 installer & live ISOs on VMware Fusion Pro. There is another open issue about this problem (https://bugs.kali.org/view.php?id=8802).

It should be fixed by now, you can either rebuild a new ISO, or wait for the next weekly image W27 on Monday.
