Summary0008802: W26 ISOs fail to install
Description

W26 AMD64 installer ISO (https://cdimage.kali.org/kali-weekly/kali-linux-2024-W26-installer-amd64.iso) and W26 Live ISO (https://cdimage.kali.org/kali-weekly/kali-linux-2024-W26-live-amd64.iso) installations both fail in VMware Fusion Pro (error message: Kernel panic - not syncing: No working init found.)

I think it's a general issue rather than a virtualization issue. I'm attaching screenshots of both default and advanced installation attempts.

2017 MacBook Pro, but I don't think it's macOS or virtualization related as I wrote before. There is another similar post, too (https://bugs.kali.org/view.php?id=8795). BTW, my screenshots haven't been uploaded, but they are exactly like the one in this note: https://bugs.kali.org/view.php?id=8795#c19476.

It should be fixed by now, you can either rebuild a new ISO, or wait for the next weekly image W27 on Monday.
