xrdp 0.10.1-3 entered Debian testing only a few days ago https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/xrdp so probably only matter of a few days until also available in kali-rolling: https://pkg.kali.org/pkg/xrdp

Update to xrdp 0.10.1 could also be an upcoming issue:

Thanks for the report. I rolled back package xorgxrdp. Please update your system, it should bring in the package xorgxrdp 1:0.10.2+really0.9.19-0kali1, which is indeed a downgrade to version 0.9.19. Please confirm that the update works and that it fixes the issue.

I added a block so that xrdp and xorgxrdp from Debian don't enter Kali, until the matter is resolved.

I removed my holds in apt and pulled the new update. Saw the new xorgxrdp get installed. Rebooted. All works fine. Did some other testing and everything looks back to normal. Thank you!

Did anyone reported this matter to Debian/upstream? Otherwise probably unlikely a fix will happen.
